Yusr means ease in Arabic. It is a short word for what we want to build: financial services that are simple, clear and fair.
I have launched more than 15 businesses, among them Jet Finance in Kazakhstan, and one lesson stayed with me. In financial services, a mistake is rarely only your own. The customer pays for it.
Today every bank and fintech has access to the same technology. A good model or a fast app can be built by almost anyone, and copied within a year. What cannot be copied is a record of how you behave when it matters: whether you explain your decisions, whether you say no to a deal that is wrong for the customer, whether you answer when something goes wrong.
That is the product we are building at Yusr. We begin with everyday needs: healthcare, education, mobility, and financing for small businesses. We measure ourselves by whether customers feel we are on their side, not only by how many transactions we complete.
Technology is welcome, but trust is the licence to use it. We intend to earn it.
